Team Work
Customers experience teamwork as one of the most important factors in creating
satisfaction where various departments and individuals from the same
organization must work together to meets the customer’s needs. This can dramatically affect the customer’s experience of a
company, causing them to be delighted or dissatisfied.
Interdepartmental as well as unit level team work is a cultural imperative in organizations
who strive for excellence. Becoming a high performing team is an objective which requires training &
practice.
Quality Values offers a two day Team Catalyst program for intact work groups and
companies who want to improve the ways in which they work together. This comprehensive course utilizes a number of different
interventional strategies to facilitate commitment and synergy- the by products of real teamwork.
Pre-course 55 point team assessment
The Quality Values Total Team Assessment is administered anonymously ahead of
the program with all data compiled into a comprehensive statistical report
on the attending team. This instrument, based upon universally accepted characteristics of high
performing teams, is broken into seven categories such as skills,
performance, leadership, climate etc.. Strengths and weaknesses are identified as well as an overall score
of how well the team is living up to its potential. This baseline measurement is utilized over the life of the team to
target opportunities for improvement as well as to measure real growth and
evolution of the team. The assessment is used as an effective training design guide to select
specific areas and exercises which will of most benefit to each particular
team.
Ideal State Affinity Process
Together, the team develops an ideal of their best future state as a team in terms of:
What they want to look like in a year
What is most important to them in terms of how they work together
How they want top be perceived by their customers
Organizational Simulations
A series of exercises are presented to focus on developing specific skills and tools the team can
apply for greater effectiveness. Quality Values focus on areas such as
meeting skills, planning, facilitative leadership, communication, conflict
resolution and more. These interactive exercises represent the opportunity to try on new skills for
size, and practice new approaches without the penalty factors of large
dollar decisions on the line.
Peer Feedback
A confidential peer feedback process is delivered where team members give
one another anonymous feedback about their individual behaviors- both
positive and negative. Each individual receives pointers on increasing their effectiveness on the team
from fellow team members’ point of view. This can be a powerful and valuable process that helps eliminate
individual blocks to commitment and develops greater understanding and
appreciation for each team member.
Large Scale Organizational Simulation
A comprehensive integrated 3 hour exercise puts the team to the test where
they must put together all of their learning’s and meet a multi-faceted
challenge with all of the organizational dynamics and project management
challenges similar to a real organizational objective. An in depth processing session is held afterwards to gauge the
actual growth and improvement of the team and to capture valuable learning
which can be applied back at the workplace. Throughout the entire program, the team commits to new behaviors
and changes which they have demonstrated to themselves, work to increase
their productivity and effectiveness.
Action Planning
An in depth action planning segment is held as the final component of the
training. This action planning session focuses on specific objectives the team s willing to
commit to which will continue to aid them in becoming more of a high
performing team. Developing new behavioral norms, changing actual work processes and meetings,
changing roles and responsibilities and more are all typical outcomes of
the action planning session. Specific roles and responsibilities and accountability are assigned along with
realistic time schedule for implementation.
Program Follow Up
After 30 days, the team reports back on their progress and any additional
beneficial results which have taken place. Re-measurement of the team, using the team assessment, can take
place at any time thereafter to identify specific levels of improvement
which have been attained as a result of this process.
2 days
This is an elective in the certificate program with working evening and optional 30 day follow up meeting.
